Code/Font Changes in a course

Hi,

I'm evaluating rise as a Content Authoring tool.  While creating a lesson, I want to format text a user should type when setting up an API call:

For the Request URI, use your FlexID server, e.g.:

https://myserver.com

Followed by this path to the API Endpoint

/api/v2/mng/user?uid=${strUserName}

I can do it in this E-mail form, but not in the course builder:

Also, is there a way to display line numbers as part of a code sample?  E.g:

Thanks,

Steve

  • This is definitely a major weakness in Rise, and it's particularly disappointing because it's a must-have for technical courses, and you'd really think it's low-hanging fruit from an implementation standpoint. This old thread includes a tip for where to find the code-snippet block (under "Multimedia"?), plus a couple of possible, partial workarounds you can consider for inline formatting.

    But since you're at the stage of evaluating Rise for authoring content, I'd pay more attention to the fact that this very basic feature has been requested way back in 2018, yet Articulate still haven't seen fit to implement it.
