Color picker (eyedropper) doesn't work
Trying to pick a shape's border color to match other on-screen elements. The eyedropper only works in the dialog box. Once outside, the chosen color is black no matter what the eyedropper is over.

none of these methods worked for me. I am now importing into Photoshop to get the colours right by RGB. annoying!

Yeah I still just put my cursor about a hand's width left and slightly up from where I want to eyedrop. It is painful but has to be easier than jumping into Photoshop!

Lucky you! Mine is too far out for that to work.

Really?? That's terrible! :(

I am having the same issue with the color picker, if I use the eyedropper, it only shows black. If I hover the eyedropper over the shape that I want to recolor, I get white. I can change the color using the palette, but I am trying to get the exact background color and I can't match it.

Hi Everyone,
Apologies, as it looks like we missed this discussion when the update came out. I just wanted to let you all know that the issue where the Eyedropper tool wouldn't always select your chosen color when using multiple monitors with different DPI settings was fixed in Update 30 of Storyline 360. Please ensure you’re on the latest update to get this function working correctly!

Hello,
Any update on this long lasting issue? Do we have a resolution for Articulate 3?
Thanks in advance
Sophie
Greetings, Sophie!
We fixed the issue where the color picker would not work correctly with multiple monitors in Storyline 3 (Update 7) and Storyline 360 (Update 30).

Any update of this issue? The Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) is really helpful and it seems like more and more features are being taken away or not working, as is the case here.

Hi Debrah,
Since the last response was 10 months ago, let's start fresh. Can you share a bit more about what you're experiencing?
Do you see an issue where the Eyedropper is not working correctly with multiple monitors? Looking forward to hearing back!

Hi Ren,
Thank you for your prompt reply and support. I found the next day I had no issues, which is fantastic but probably due to the home/office setup and screen resolutions you mentioned.
Thank you again :)

Just thought I'd chime in that the issue on the most recent version of Storyline 360 is still occurring. I have multiple monitors and switching between
Format Shape > Color > More Colors > Click the Eyedropper
and
Format Shape > Color > EyedropperYields different results, but often not the correct color picker location still. Adjusting both the laptop and external monitor to the same % scaling seems to work, but it causes the entire rest of my work flow to become problematic (as they are pretty different in size).
