Delayed appearance for next button
Hi all, Storyline newbie here that greatly appreciates your help in advance!
I creating a slide and want the next button to be hidden until all of the slide layers have been visited. I've read threads and watched several videos on the process of creating T/F variables/corresponding triggers and am stumped without success.
-I have the button set to "hidden" when the timeline starts.
-I have set T/F variables for each layer.
-I have triggers for each variable to turn to "true" when the layer is clicked.
-Lastly, I have a trigger to change the state of the button to "normal" when all layers have been visited/value is true.
Am I missing something? I've read that this can be halted by transitions, but I don't have any applied to the layer changes.
Thanks for your help!

FYI: Here's a post with a file that demonstrates various ways to control the Next button (including when you want to require users to view layers): https://community.articulate.com/discussions/articulate-storyline/tip-controlling-the-next-button-101
If that doesn't help you, I suggest you upload a .story file. It'll be easier for someone to troubleshoot by viewing/testing a file.
Here are the best practices for uploading a .story file:
- Only include slides that are involved in the problem.
- Be sure all objects, layers, motion paths, and variables have meaningful names.
- If there is proprietary content, replace or delete it. For example, replace proprietary text with ipsum lorem text.
