Disable Mouse Click Sound?
I'm having problems searching the forums, so I hope I'm not asking a redundant question here, but is there any way to disable the noise that Storyline inserts when you do a screen cast and have it record mouse movements. There doesn't seem to be a way to do this. Thank you!
Hi Susan,
This change has to be made on a slide by slide basis.

Christine, in answer to the last question in your post of June 23, I do not see the Format options when I click the mouse element in the timeline. I do see Format when I click other items in the timeline, but not for the mouse. I've just checked for Articulate Storyline software updates, but apparently this new purchase is up to date. Ideas?
As a work-around to eliminate the mouse click sound, I've hidden the mouse cursor completely on its left (eye is now closed), but I'd like to display the mouse moving silently.
TIA,
Wayne
Hi Wayne,
What happens when you click on the mouse cursor? Are you able to click on it within the slide instead of the timeline?

Ashley, I'm not able to click the cursor pointer image within the slide, no. To be precise, I can click on it, but nothing happens, and I certainly don't see the Format options. For the record, this is all within test mode, but that qualifies for the step-by-step reference above, right?
Hi Wayne,
It certainly does qualify as a step by step reference. I'm curious if you could share the .story file here with us so that we could take a look?

Hi Ashley and Wayne,
I'm having the same issue Wayne is having. Did you all find a solution for him?
I click the mouse cursor in my timeline, and it does not bring up a format option in the ribbon.
Thanks!
Hi Rachel!
It doesn't appear that Wayne ever shared a file here for us to look at, nor do I see where he filed a case on this issue.
Would you be able to share your file for us to take a look at?

Yes, of course! What's the best way for me to share it with you?
Thanks!

Hi Leslie,
Here is one slide from the file. The mouse click sound happens at the very beginning when the first gray box appears.
