Disabling Previous and Next controls on slide layers

I have a project I am working on that is a base layer with previous and next controls on the player.  There are three slide layers that appear when you click on buttons on the base layer.  How do I hide the previous and next buttons on each slide layer but keep the next and previous controls on the base layer?
