Display remaining time left in a module

Hello Articulate Community!

I've received requests from our users that they'd like to be able to see the remaining time left in a module as they progress through the training. Presenter360 used to be able to do this but I am not of aware of a way to do so in Storyline360. Does anybody have any ideas for how to display the time remaining in a module?

Many thanks,

Katy

You could add your own text element that's visible on each slide, which displays a variable: TimeLeft. At the beginning of the module, set TimeLeft to be equal to the total time required for the course.

Add a motion path to the text element that doesn't move physically, but does have a sensible duration, such as 1 seconds or 1 minute (depending how accurate you want it to be). Attach a trigger for when the animation completes that changes the value of TimeLeft. Don't forget to stop the timer at the end of the slide if you're waiting until the user presses Next.

If your course has activities that may make the timing unpredictable, I'm not sure how you'd want to handle that. Nor how a built-in feature might have handled that.

If users just want to know in terms of progress, that might be easier since you could have almost any graphic to depict completeness and simply fill it in in increments as you start each new scene.
