12 months agoDon't see .story files for old courses...
A client has just asked for the source files for a course that's 5+ years old. I look at what I have in my source files folder but don't see any .story files, just .ppta and .quiz. Is that because the files were created so long ago?? And, yes, I've already tried looking here....%appdata%\Articulate\Storyline
Any help will be appreciated!

If you see .ppta and .quiz it's possible the course was built with Articulate Studio and not Storyline since those are files associated with it.

When I open the ppta files I just see, basically, Powerpoints. But the courses we're trying to resurrect were not linear like that. Any way to get them into Storyline?
- As noted before, the PPTA/Quiz files are for Studio. Do you have access to a published version of the client file? You should be able to tell if it was created in Studio or Storyline.
- Assuming the source files match the course (and you have them all) you can import the files into Storyline. This article explains what you need to do if you have .ppta.
