Exploring Interactive Compass Design with Dials in Storyline 3

Presented here is an illustrative example that I've constructed to showcase the utilization of the dials feature within both Storyline 3 and Storyline 360.

The online compass design comprises a set of five distinct dials:

  1. One dial manages the compass baseplate and the hand, simultaneously governing the 'CompassBaseplate' variable.
  2. Another dial controls the central part of the hand, influencing the 'CompassBaseplate' variable.
  3. An additional dial governs the compass degree markings, directly impacting the 'CompassDial' variable.
  4. A separate dial oversees the parallel direction arrows within the compass dial, similarly governing the 'CompassDial' variable.
  5. Lastly, there's a dial dedicated to the compass needle, which adjusts the 'Needle' variable.

The dials have been meticulously designed so that any movement applied to the baseplate and hand is mirrored by the inner dials, maintaining consistent alignment.

Furthermore, it's worth noting that when any of the other dials are manipulated, the compass needle will exhibit a subtle wobbling motion.
