Alyssa Gomez helped me with a problem with the master slide on this project, and the feeback master is an even bigger problem: I have spent many hours trying to format feedback masters, and although the masters look correct when I go into Feedback Master view (see attached Correct Feedback.png and the first slide in the attached .story file), new quiz slides are created with feedback layers that use the background from the regular master slides, and text boxes that make no sense at all (see attached Wrong Feedback.png). I then have to manually reformat every aspect of every feedback layer on dozens of quiz slides. How can I get what appears in the feedback master slides to correctly appear in the layers of new quiz slides? Using Storyline 3.

Hiya, I'm having the same problem, I've tried everything I can think of, but the wrong feedback layers are coming through. The only difference between the attached and mine is that mine are pulling through from the creation of software simulations in the Try me Mode (would upload the file but its massive and this is the same issues!!) instead of quizzing. Any ideas or help please?

Thanks Jennifer, This seems a step closer, but unless I use the absolute default feedback formats, changes to the feedback master still are not carried to the new slides: the continue button pops in at the wrong place and in the wrong color, and a random button, labeled "Button" is added. The title is also incorrectly formatted. On a broader issue, even if this works, this level of work around would not be needed if the software was working according to its documentation. I look forward to other ideas and solutions.

It does seem like there may have been some corruption, Michel. I was able to see the same behavior on the feedback layers and could see that they should be blue in the Feedback Masters. I re-adjusted the colors (to the same color) and it seems to be working as expected now. Not sure what would have caused this hiccup, but please let us know if you see it again.

Hey so this may or may not help you but it seems to have fixed my issue. I created a new story with all the correct feedback layouts etc. I then imported the original story to the new story and the formatting sticks. Not an elegant solution but does appear to work...

Jennifer, Working with your solution I discover that all elements (text placeholders and the button) must be left as-is, other than formatting for color, size, etc. Although workable, this is a poor design because it implies a level of flexibility that is just not there, And allows--if not encourages--going down the frustrating path of no return that prompted me to begin this string. The way this area of functionality is positioned is clearly that what you see in the feedback master is what you get in the slide, and that is simply not the case. I hope this discussion can save others from the frustration we have faced.

I experience this as well with the buttons on the feedback masters. It forces the question slides I create to use that blue default in the states. It even started to do this in the questions themselves with a blue hover effect. This is something new as the questions don't behave like that in a course I created just last week.

I'm unsure if my issue is related to this thread but it seems to be. My custom feedback masters are not pulling through when I insert a built-in question, clear the correct/incorrect layers and apply my master slide. The text is all nonsense for the built-in question (in this case true/false) and the feedback layer text is also a string of text. My formatting is in place, just not the text.

The default "Continue" button in the Feedback Master recreated automatically even if you deleted it in the layout

Feedback master editing still doesn't work. Considering how expensive this app is, you'd think this would have been resolved already.
