    Thanks for sharing a screenshot of the grainy video! That is definitely not expected behavior. What type of video are you importing into the project? Also, it would be helpful to know if this happens when adding the video to a specific project file or all projects.

      Good to know! It sounds like this might be an issue with the imported video rather than the courses. What is the file type of the video that you're importing?

  • They are mp4s. It also happens when I open an existing project without importing a new video.

      Just to clarify, does the video quality remain poor after publishing a course as well?

      A common cause of blurry videos in a Storyline 360 course is a mismatch between the resolution of the video and the slide size of the project. If the resolution of the video is too large for the available slide space, the quality of the video tends to get reduced.

      The best way to address this is to make sure that your video and Storyline 360 project make use of the same size and resolution. This article goes into more detail about that:

  • I had exactly the same problem when importing a recording of a Teams meeting into Replay. The mp4 video plays fine in a media player but when imported into Replay it's the grainy/fuzzy mess like the screenshot above. Weirdly I renamed the video file to a shorter name and it imported just fine. Not sure if it was coincidental but could be something to try?
