Holding down for a key press delay question

Hello wonderful community! I have a question regarding the trigger for a user key press. Is there a way to adjust the amount of time between pressing down and holding a key and the delay there is for it continuing to register the press?

I've noticed there is a delay when I hold down a key press and I'd like eliminate it if possible. The initial press works right away, and I'd like it to continue without delay as I hold it down.
