Hosting Rise courses on SalesForce: Publish to Web? Use JS to capture user data? Help!

We are trying to get a few Rise courses published and hosted on SalesForce. In addition, we need to capture certain data such as who took the course, when did they take it, and did they pass the final assessment. I've never done this before - always used and LMS. Do I publish to Web? Do I use JS to capture data? Help!
