How can i get rid of the slider thumb ghost?
I am simulating a twist throttle for a stock picker (in the forklift family). I want to use a slider, but make it invisible.
I don't want to use the throttle image as the thumb, because I don't want it to move. The operator uses a forward and backward twisting motion to increase and decrease speed.
- I set the track to no fill.
- I removed the outlines for both the thumb and the track.
- I set the thumb fill to 100% transparent.
What is left is a ghost of the thumb. Does anyone know how I can get rid of the remaining thumb outline shown in the attached image?

That did it! Thanks, Tom! You are truly a genius.
I'm putting that on a t-shirt :)
Question, how does the person know they're moving the slide without a thumb? Are you changing the states of the image under the slider?

The movement is not intuitive. It is not like driving a car. So it was something I wanted them to "practice" in the course. That way when they get to the hands-on portion of the training, it may feel a bit more natural. I am not changing the state of the underlying image - there is not a lot of visual change to the throttle.
The farther they turn the throttle the faster they go. I was thinking of possibly a speedometer or maybe a crash if they go too fast. Another thought is to change the sound of the engine.
Curious about that. If you don't mind I'd love to see what you're doing. You can share with me via the profile message if you don't want to share publicly.

I got pulled to a different project for a while. I'll be happy to share once I am back on this one and have something built - LOL!
