How to charge for being a course approval?
Hi,
I was recently asked to be an "Approver" for a course. The course has already been developed. Does anyone know how to charge for being a course approver? Is there such a thing or does it require some sort of designation?
Please advise
Thanks in advance

It's typical to ask Subject Matter Experts and other stakeholders to review and approve a course that's in development.
You didn't say what your relationship is with the people developing the course. If you haven't been involved with this course and aren't responsible for its deployment, there's no reason for you to be an Approver. So I'd say that you first need to know why they are asking you to "approve" the course and what they will do with that approval.
- For example, if you "approve" of the course, will they use your name as someone who recommends it? Or will "approving" it make you responsible/liable for its content in any way.
As for charging, that's negotiable. It could be based on how long it will take you to review the course and/or a set fee. For example, if they're going to market the course using your name, they should compensate you accordingly. (Though I have no idea what such a fee would be.)
