How to increase the font size of section titles in Rise ?
Hello Everyone,
When viewing the navigation pane of a course developed through Rise,
the section titles have a font size smaller than that of the lesson titles.
The section titles have a font size of 10px.
The lesson titles have a font size of 13px.
As a result, users can waste a lot of time scaning the navigation pane,
when they need to find sections, but their attention is diverted to lessons.
How to increase the font size of section titles in Rise ?
Thank you for your help,
XL

Hi,
There is no option to increase the font size of Section titles in Rise.
We appreciate that feedback, Xavier! It sounds like you need the ability to format text on the main menu page. If we add that option in the future, we'll let you know!

Hello Alyssa,
I think, that the navigation pane is an essential component of an e-learning system.
Trainees do need to scan the navigation pane frequently and efficiently.
This issue has been reported multiple times for 3 years at least :
• “ How to change the text font size and colour for section heading and lesson titles ”
• “ Section Titles & Structures ”
I think, that it would be neither long nor difficult for your R&D,
to at least increase the font size of section titles from 10px to 13px (or a bit more).
Is a correction planned in your current roadmap ?
Then could you please provide a release date ?
Thank you for your help,
XLHi XL. This enhancement isn't on our public roadmap right now. We'll share here if that changes.

I came here searching for an answer to this question, and noted that it was first asked FOUR YEARS AGO. I don't need a screen reader yet, but making the section heading font smaller than the lesson font is a strain for people with poor eyesight wearing strong corrective lenses.

I agree. This is the first screen and experience learners will have with our course and Rise. If they cannot see the titles very well...immediate let down and demotivating. Very unfortunate this has been requested for years and nothing has been done about it.

It would be great to finally see this happen. It is really odd to have a section title smaller than the lesson title.

I really want to change font size of a title lesson. Now it's too small. Poor eyes!
I hope you can fix it soon. - KarenFudgeCommunity Member
I feel this is a fundamental change that is needed. Aesthetically it is not appealing and doesn't make sense to the reader/learner.
Please can this be added to updates soon?

Could not agree more! It is like having the title of a Chapter smaller print then the content within it! So backwards and difficult for learners to follow where they need to go.

Adding to the list of users that would really appreciate this feature. I agree with all the comments above. We should be able to format that text and enlarge/bold as needed. Thanks for considering.

Came here to ask the same question. One would think that it is such a simple thing to implement. It is a shame that this option is still not available for users.

Same for me. How can we create 508-compliant content if there are key items on the screen forced to be a 10pt font size? It makes no sense honestly. From a design perspective it does not flow.
Somebody mentioned above that this feature upgrade is not on the roadmap. This has to be one of the more universal complaints I hear from RISE content creators. Given you know that from all of us, will you please be responsive to your customers/end-users and put it on the roadmap? We would be eternally grateful. Thank you!

I'm confused by this; the lesson headings in the nav bar have the capability to zoom to 200%, and are larger than 9pt/12px--that keeps them withing WCAG suggestions, especially since they aren't body copy, at least as I understand it. But maybe I'm wrong--in your understanding how are the lesson headings not compliant?
