how to: variable ...condition... = value (ignore case) ??

I"m trying to follow along https://www.linkedin.com/learning/articulate-storyline-360-advanced-elearning/display-a-character-based-on-a-variable and he types a variable name

and then it come up suddenly WITH "(ignore case)" ... and I can't do that, and I've gone frame by frame and can't get mine do that that!?

he didn't type ignore case, but it just appeared.

No this is from 2020, so maybe the functionality has changed?

  • Click on the equal sign. “=“ and “= (ignore case)” are two of your options.

    Confirm it is .

"solved" problem by grabbing working slide out of Exercise Files,

but attached is a hastily recorded video of no "ignore appearing"...

  • Hey Alison. Nice to see you again.

Can you share your file real quick? The ignore case would be used on the 2nd slide when you're adding the conditions.

  • To build on Walt's helpful instructions: Keep in mind that every item in the Trigger Wizard with a dashed underline can be edited

The most common issue I've seen is folks getting stuck on "Set" when adjusting a variable:

    • For Number variables, clicking "Set" reveals the math operators (Add, Subtract, Multiply, Divide) .
    • For T/F variables, clicking "Set" reveals the "Toggle" option.

So if you aren't seeing what you want, Just click an item to view the options.
