Insert Zoom Region on a Layer
Why can't I insert a Zoom region on a layer?

This behaviour would really help me now. oh. dear.
Hi Elizabeth,
Sorry that this isn't set up for you to utilize yet - but perhaps you could share a bit more about what you're looking to do and then our team and/or the community could weigh in with some other ideas?

I would also really love to be able to trigger a zoom region. Now I end up having to mess around with timeline triggers, which is always a mess.
Hi Paul,
That's not a feature yet, but it's a good idea, and I can understand how that would make life easier for you. I think it would be worth telling our product team about it here!
In case you're wondering, here's how we manage all of the ideas we receive!

Thanks Ashley, submitted a feature request.
Thanks for taking the time to submit one, Paul!

Any update on whether this issue is being looked at (either allowing zoom regions on layers, or allowing them to be triggered by commands?)
Hi Paul - I do not have an update, but I'm connecting some dots on our end to bring up the zoom region on a layer into the forefront of conversation. No promises, but there have been quite a few requests, so I'm gathering those :)

I just ran into wanting to do this with layers as well. I have attached the graphic I was given for a dictionary entry. On the slide, the graphic is small to read each pop-out definition. I would love to have someone click on one of the pop-outs and be able to zoom that region while he or she reads it, then closes it, and then does the same with the next pop-out. I guess I will just have to type the text into a layer to do this for now. Thanks-
