Issue with resizing icons

Has anyone noticed recently that the resizing nodes for icons and shapes have changed?

Now, the corner nodes for resizing icons, shapes, and images no longer keep the objects' relative dimensions. Instead, you can distort to your own detriment:

  • A circle resized with a shaky hand from the corner node is now and oval.
  • A person icon resized too quickly from the corner node is now an alien, long and skinny.

Have I entered some topsy-turvy world in which we want to distort our images beyond recognizability? Isn't that what the length and width's middle nodes are for?

Or did I somehow miss that this was how Storyline360 always was with resizing?

Help!

I know it sounds like a small issue, but when working with small icons, the slightest mis-drag can drastically distort the final result.

  • If I recall, it's always worked that way. I hold shift and drag from the anchor and that preserves the scaling. If you want, you can go into the properties and lock the aspect ratio. Select the object and then Ctrl+Shift+Enter.
