Issue with SCORM 2004 (3rd edition) in Rise - Resetting on Review Mode

Hi, I’m creating a course in Rise and when I publish it as SCORM 2004 (3rd edition), I’ve encountered an issue: once the course is marked as completed, when I return in "review mode", the attempt resets, as if we hadn’t completed the course. Every time I enter, it counts as a new attempt.

Does anyone know how to ensure that once the course is completed, when returning, all the slides are marked as viewed and I can freely navigate through the content?

  • Hello MichelToyos-c2c! Most learning management systems (LMSs) consider a course to be in review mode after meeting the tracking requirement. In review mode, resume data is no longer sent to the LMS, which prevents learners from accidentally changing their course status from complete back to incomplete. You can read more about this behavior in this article. However, this shouldn't change the score in the LMS. Are you finding the score changes after the course is reviewed?

If the score changes after the course is reviewed, I recommend testing your course in SCORM cloud to see if this behavior happens in another LMS environment.
