Launch logic for Articulate SCORMs
I've tested various Articulate SCORM files to determine that the launch logic for the latest Articulate SCORMs is causing issues re-launching. In many cases the loading screen is perpetually showing, as if it can't read the suspend_data. This seems to be happening more often over the past three months and I'm wondering if anyone has an idea why.
For some SCORMs, it seems the ability to re-launch after completion is nonexistent. Maybe that is a setting I'm missing in Articulate?

Have you verified this behavior on SCORM Cloud? What LMS are you using?

Hello,
I am using LearnUpon LMS. (I work for LU) The behavior is best demonstrated when replacing the SCORM file with another slightly different Articulate SCORM file. Then again, sometimes it happens without this action, but I think it's best to focus on this scenario because it's what our customers have run into lately.
I understand that if there's a fundamental change in the SCORM, and it's replaced, then there could be unintended consequences. We advise our customers never to replace a SCORM with major structural changes because it could cause issues. The strange thing is, no one is making major structural changes and the issue is present.
When the lesson_location and suspend_data is cleared for a User, the Course is then able to launch. But I think there needs to be a function in the launch logic that if you can't find the correct lesson location, start at the beginning. Instead, it seems to be stalling.
The reason I have this conclusion is because I have also tested replacing the SCORM with a completely different SCORM file, like the Golf SCORM for example, and the Course launches fine. The suspend data and lesson location is overwritten. I did open a support ticket, but I'm curious if the community has other thoughts/experience. Thank you.
