Line motion path

I wanted to pop in and clarify a few things for you!

You are only able to send project backups to folks that are on your team. Since Ron is outside of your subscription, he won't have access to your file. As Tom mentioned earlier, you can upload your .story file to this thread if you are able to gather it from your computer.

In the meantime, I've gone ahead and opened a support case on your behalf. That way, we can help you pinpoint those files for you!

Without seeing the file, here are a few thoughts:

• Selected state is a toggle button so you have to account for selected and not selected states. 
• Here's what I'd do:
  • Assuming the animation starts automatically
  • Create a button that is starting state disabled when slide starts
  • Move object on motion path
  • Change the state of the button to normal when animation completes
  • Move object on motion path when user clicks button
  • Change state of button to disabled when user clicks button
• The animation will always restart when the user clicks the button
• With the button disabled, they can't click it in the middle and make it jump (unless you want that)

Thank you for your quick response I have tried what you suggested, no luck. I also tried triggering with a variable that also failed.  I have published the single slide to Review, and it is not working there either. Hey Julie,

Thanks for sharing this link.  I also received your email through the BLOG, and have responded there as well.  I did not see the source file attached to that Review Link.

However, based on what I see in Review, you may need your Replay button to have 2 triggers, in this order.

Once I get the file in hand, I would be glad to take a closer look.

Thanks Tom - I assume I would need to attach the published project output file? If you can advise on where it might be located that would be great! Unfortunately, I'm unable to locate it, I checked the 'Documents/My Articulate Projects folder' and also ran multiple searches on my computer without any result. 

You need to attache the .story file so we can see the triggers. For the attachment, make a copy of the file and delete all of the slides except the one you're showing us.

Thank you for your ongoing assistance with this, apologies for not providing the file sooner but I have been out of the office the past three days. 
I have made the file and attached it with only the relevant slide included. As you will see pretty much everything works as expected except for the line motion path actually restarting when triggered. Thank you I hope I have attached the file correctly.

Hey Julie,

Thanks for sharing your file.  Great job on getting as far as you did.  There were a couple of things that were preventing this from working as expected.  I have recorded a quick PEEK to share my findings and also attached a repaired version I created.  Thanks again for sharing.
