LMS Timeout

I have some training video content that lasts 20-25 minutes.  However, our corporate LMS is limited to a 10-minute timeout.  Is there a way to have the SCORM package "talk" to an LMS every ~9 minutes so that the base LMS won't timeout?

I know it would be easier to set the base LMS timeout longer, but our information security policies will not allow it.
