Log in not working

Apparently Articulate has changed their policy on Usernames for log ins. I went to log in to the Community this morning and was told my Username is too long. I was able to get into my Storyline account to post this. I hope this will be fixed soon.

    Hi EricSchaffer-d1,

Great to see that Kelly has been helping you.

Since EricSchaffer-d1 is 15 characters, you should not have trouble logging into the community. If the behavior persists, and clearing your browser's cache doesn't help, please connect with us through a support case.

We're happy to take a closer look at what might be getting in the way.

  • KellyAuner It happened again this morning. I opened a question on the community and wanted to answer it. When I went to login I was sent to a different site that won't take my login. It looked totally different. I think there may be some type of redirection hack in the community. This is making me very leery to login and answer question. Please look into this.

      Hey EricSchaffer-d1,

So sorry to hear that you're still having trouble logging into the community.

We haven't seen any recent reports of unexpected redirection behavior from other users. When accessing the community, users are brought to the main Articulate login page first. This may give the impression that you're "leaving" the community instance, but this is the expected behavior when logging in.

Can you confirm if this is the page you're being redirected to?

If not, do you mind providing a screenshot of what you're seeing on your end so we can take a closer look? If you prefer to share that privately, please do so through a support case.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Normally I get this screen, and everything looks and works fine. The next time I get the strange login I will take a screenshot and start a case.

  • KellyAuner This is strange, first the log in looked totally different, then my log in and password have been the same for over 8 years. It looked like someone hacked the system.

  • Hi, EricSchaffer-d1!

Usernames must be at least two characters long and no more than 15. You can use unicode letters (including accented and non-Western characters), numbers, dashes, and underscores. Spaces aren't allowed.

Here’s how to change your username in E-Learning Heroes:

    1. Sign in to E-Learning Heroes: https://community.articulate.com
    2. Click your avatar in the upper-right corner and choose “My Settings” from the menu that appears.
    3. When your settings load, click “Edit” next to your username.
    4. Enter your new username and click “Save.”

If you're unable to access the community at all to change your username, it'd be helpful to view a screenshot or screen recording when you attempt to log in. We'll be happy to help!
