Lot of lag in a couse

Hi, I have taken a course based on interactive video and my client has noticed that the videos have a lot of lag. What could be the reason for this? I've tried setting the video quality to the minimum, but the lag persists. Does anyone know how I can solve this problem?

I attach the storyline file below.

Thank you,

Marc

  • Hi Marc,

I'm sorry to hear you're hitting this snag! I ran some tests and saw that the course was going smoothly. Here's a quick Peek at what I saw.

Are you seeing the lagging during Storyline preview or when running a published output? If so, does it occur in an LMS or a Web server, and what browser are you using to test?

I appreciate you sharing this additional information so we can better help!

  • I get lag as well and sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't, so not sure one smooth test is proof. Often get the sound and video not matching up either.

      Hi Diane,

Sorry to hear that you ran into a similar issue.

Can I ask if you have your courses hosted on an LMS or web server? Are you able to replicate the behavior regardless of which browser you use to view the course

Additionally, would you be willing to share a copy of your project file here or in private by opening a support case so we can take a closer look at what's happening? We'll delete it when we're done testing!

  • It's when I publish to Review and it's both browsers. The video often won't play at all, it remains static until I hit the forward or back button. I've submitted a case, thanks

  • Hi Diane,

I'm sorry to hear you've run into this snag.

Great call opening a support case. I see you're working with our colleague Philam. You are in great hands!

We'll continue the conversation over in your support case.

    Have a great afternoon!
