Media Library - Rise

Hello,

Is there a way to export all the images or media content from a course in Rise? It would be great to know if there's something like the Media Library in Storyline that allows you to extract all the images/audios/videos at once.

At the moment, I export the course and extract the content from there. However, all the items lose their names and get random long names.

Thank you!

Valeria

    Hello,

I want to underline once again how important a media library in Rise would be. Please add this feauture to Rise. That would help enormously. Thank you!

  • Hi Valeria!

It sounds like you already know how to export a Rise 360 course for Web and check the assets folder for all of the course's media files, is that right? Like you mentioned, the media file names change during the export process, and it can be difficult to identify the files you need.

While Rise 360 doesn't have a media library like Storyline 360 does, I'd be happy to share your idea with our Product team! If we ever add that kind of feature to Rise 360 in the future, we'll let you know.

Thank you for confirming this. I have just requested the feature.

  • Hello,
Where are we on this issue ?

not only would a library be practical. I also noticed that I have ghost files in my XAPI export. Deleted photos and / or videos are still being exported increasing the overall size of my zip file.

Hi Dominique! Thanks for following up. I understand how having a media library would be practical and useful in Rise. We don't have any updates yet regarding this. However, we'll make sure to update this thread as more information becaomes available.

  • I want to second how much help a media library would be in Rise. I have 16 individual hour plus long training modules on software usage. There are 600+ images in this course, while going through a UI update for the software I need to manually update every single image in the course. I have all the images in a file, sized and named the same, if I could drop them in a library and call it done it would save our team weeks of work.

  • I often find myself adding the same image to multiple places in a course, having a media library would save me having to upload that file countless times.

  • We so appreciate everyone taking the time to share their need for this feature! I've updated our feature request to reflect everyone who is advocating for a media library in Rie 360. I'll return to this discussion when I have an update to share!

  • Any word on this? I'm on week 2 of image updates that would take 20 minutes to complete with a media library. I can't emphasize enough how, in just the last 2 weeks, not having this feature is literally costing us more than a yearly subscription to Rise.
