Rise 360 - Timeline
Hi everyone,
For the last 2 days, I have been unable to delete events while using the Timeline interaction.
Also, when adding audio in each event, the images that were already added disappear.
Hello AnikBrown-c208f and David-H-Naylor,
I have great news to share! We released a new update for Rise 360, which fixes the problem you encountered: removing an asset in a Timeline and Process blocks will remove the other asset.
Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have questions or encounter other issues. We're happy to help.
Hi AnikBrown-c208f!
Sorry to hear you've run into this setback while authoring in Rise 360!
I can confirm we have this behavior logged as a bug in Rise 360. This bug causes:
- Removing an asset in the Timeline and Process Blocks will remove the other asset.
I've linked this discussion to the bug report so we can notify you as soon as a fix is in place. In the meantime, as a workaround, we suggest:
- If changing only an image or video, authors can "Replace" them with a new one instead of Removing or deleting the asset to avoid deleting the audio as well.
Thank you for your patience! I'm sorry if this has been slowing you down!

Yeah
Just found this problem too!
Let me know when you're back up to speed with it.
Many thanks Hello AnikBrown-c208f and David-H-Naylor,

Hello,
I'm also running into the problem that I can't delete a timeline section. I just checked, and I still cannot remove an item from the timeline (it's been doing this all week). For example, if there are three items in the timeline - I can't delete the third and just keep the first two. Is there going to be a fix so that we can delete timeline elements again?
Thanks!

I'm still experiencing the problem OP and the others in this thread discussed. Can you let us know how this will be resolved?

Hey Eric
Such a shame I was all excited thinking you had resolved this minor issue.
Alas this is not the case. I have removed the timeline from my current course and used another object as of course we all have deadlines to meet.Looking forward to hearing from you when the issue is resolved. 😀

I'm not experiencing any of the issues with Timeline blocks raised in this thread. Everything is working correctly for me.
What problems are you still having?
- David-H-NaylorCommunity Member
Hey Karl
Maybe the system works in the US but not here in the UK.
Basically as numerous people on this post have identified -
We cannot delete Events from the Timeline. The button picture of the bin is still there but when one clicks on it nothing happens.
Please test again. I can forward a project to you with this problem to illustrate this simple case. But I would be surprised if you needed it!Please don't hesitate to reach out if you're having difficulties understanding this issue. I'm more than happy to help.

FYI I'm not in the US.

As he points out the delete buttons on the left do not work, which I did not use in my own testing.
I always use the delete buttons on the right which do work.

I'm also experiencing this, but there are 2 ways to delete a timeline content item. See green arrow- clicking this does work for me. But the trash icons on left sidebar do not.

Thanks for that tip. The delete function in the timeline order (left hand side) is still not working, but I was also able to delete using the delete button on the right above.
Really appreciate posting that tip, it was driving me nuts! :-)
