I'm happy to help! If you're using Google Chrome to record your screencast, I recommend using Firefox instead. Google Chrome communicates very little information to the Windows Accessibility API, which is how Storyline knows what to include in screen recordings. Google Chrome can omit some steps from screen recordings altogether.
