Modify variables managed by storyline
Good morning I have a questionnaire with random questions to create. If the construction does not pose a problem my questions are a little complicated to know that we can for example ask a question which expects a yes or no answer and if the answer is good we ask why. I therefore added a layer which asks why and which allows you to add an additional number of points to the Quiz1.ScorePoints variable. except in the end this addition is ignored. I therefore created a bonus variable which accumulates the points of a possible additional question and before moving on to the result slide I add bonus with Quiz1.ScorePoints so that the bonus is taken into consideration in the success or not of the test. And to my surprise I noticed that for example 10 + 10 = 10 !! can you confirm that Quiz1.ScorePoints cannot be modified by such a process? and is there a solution to achieve this. THANKS

Well I can't tell him that if the answer is correct he must continue with a second slide to continue the question. I put this second slide in the question bank but it's impossible to draw and I don't have access to it either on a new scene but it doesn't work either. Something is missing me. So either I'm wrong in the positioning of the scene to put the slide or I haven't found the right trigger to do this.

When I tell it to go back to the slide which brings out the questions randomly it blocks.

Good morningNot having succeeded in resolving my problem and without a response I deleted the slides and went back on another track. But to explain my problem and in case other people are interested, I will make a lighter file including the method and its failure. To quickly summarize the problem, I have a file with random questions and some of these questions have a follow-up.For example, can we use this material with a yes no question, the correct answer being no, we continue with the question why? and this is where the situation becomes complicated. the question why is outside the random question and we are redirected to it but once the explanation of why is given when we return to the rest of the random questions we get stuck. The solution that I eventually found is to make these two questions mandatory but in the event of a wrong answer (yes) the question why no longer has to be.The file will arrive a little later I have to do it.THANKS - JeanMarcLaumondCommunity Member
Good morning
Here is an example file. Did I not understand how to do it? is there a solution ? I only put one question of this type with just one question following the first answer but I have questions that can be linked together and several questions of this type in the series of random questions
