NEW IN RISE 360: Closed Captioning
We’ve just released a powerful new feature in Rise 360: closed captioning. Now you can upload closed caption files to videos to make your content more accessible.
It’s easy to add closed captions to your Rise 360 courses. Just click Edit and select Manage captions in any block that showcases a video. Select the language, and then add your file. You can add as many languages as you like.
We hope you love this helpful new feature!

Good Morning,
I wanted to check in and see if you'd been able to duplicate my issue and have any insights?
Hi MacKinzie,
Thanks for opening a case about this issue! That's a smart move — our Support Engineers are well-equipped to solve these kinds of problems!
My teammate, Renson, reached out to you on 2/28/20. He would love to see your course in action.
- Open your Rise 360 course, and click Share at the top of the page. Copy the URL that appears.
- Paste that URL into the Description box of this form. That form links directly to your case with Renson.
- Click the blue Upload File button.
Renson will receive the URL and respond back with his findings!

Hello! I shared the course on 2/28, i must have done it incorrectly. Thank you for letting me know that you did not receive it! I will send it again right now. :)
Thanks, MacKinzie!
I see the link and the output file you shared. Renson will reach back out to you soon!

I can't find this feature in the Edit for my videos...?
Hi Kristen!
Hover a video block or an interactive block with a video, then click the Edit button that appears in the upper left corner of the block.
Next, click the small Edit link to the right of the video, and you'll see Manage Captions in the dropdown.

Is there a way to have the closed captioning on by default in Rise videos?
Hello, Carlos!
Video closed captions are turned off by default, and learners can turn them on and select their preferred language when they're ready.
Hello, David!
While you won't see the closed caption text in a PDF export, you can easily download caption text by following these steps:
