New Storyline training created from powerpoint not responding properly to triggers
Hello, I have a training I am trying to convert to Storyline from a Powerpoint training. It does not seem to operate properly and I am not sure if it is something I am missing, or a problem that came over with the import.
Issue 1: Screens are advancing automatically at the end of the timeline, even though I removed the Slide trigger to do so (that populated automatically).
Issue 2: States of objects are not changing upon hover, even though I added a state and a object trigger.
Since I have to update nearly every slide anyway, I wonder if it would be best to just create a storyline training and copy/paste any of the old powerpoint data that is usable?

1. When a PPT is imported, the default setting is often to advance automatically. Go to the Slide Properties, and change Slide advances to By user.
Note: In STORYVIEW, the Slide Properties appear in the lower right. You can select all of the slides, and then change them all at the same time.
2. The built-in states (Hover, Selected, Visited) have built-in functionality. For example, the Hover state will automatically show on mouseover—without a trigger. In fact, adding a trigger that duplicates the automatic action can cause problems. So delete any triggers you have that change to the Hover state on mouseover.

Thanks for the information.
I was hoping for the state to stay changed after being hovered over, so I could apply other functionality once they had hovered over all of them, but maybe I need to change it to something they need to click on.

Those on a mobile device or working without a mouse can't hover. Thus, it's better to have someone click to do anything that reveals info or is otherwise required.
