Partial scoring on Pick Many Freeform
I have been searching for a solution for partial scoring on a Freeform 'Pick Many'
Example
I have two correct answers out of five and currently the score is 10 for both correct or nil for 1 correct and 1 incorrect.
Is it possible to score say 5 points for at least one to be correct?
Many thanks
Hi Michael,
Partial scoring is not currently an option within Storyline quiz questions, although it's something a number of users have requested as a new feature for the next version of Storyline.

Thank you for the reply

If you don't use the scoring in the LMS to determine the pass/fail of the course (or to extract response data), I believe you can do it "manually" using your own variables and triggers.
Thanks Celine - this discussion is a bit older but we still appreciate the info here for others - if you're able to share information on how to set this up, you may want to share that for other users.

Yes, Celine, how would you do that? Thanks.
Hi Matt,
I'm not sure if Celine is still subscribed here, as the post is a bit older - but you could always use the "contact me" button on a ELH users' profile to reach out to them directly!
Best of luck with your project!

Hi Ashley,
Was this feature ever implemented? If so, how do I access it? I know how to create the work-around, but it would be much easier if it were built-in.
Thanks,
Chris
Hello Christopher!
We haven't implemented the option for partial scoring when adding Pick Many Freeform questions. It sounds like you've already configured a workaround. I'll report back to this discussion to let you know when this makes it on our roadmap!

Hi Chris
Any chance you can share the workaround?
thanks!

Hello,
I know this is an old thread, but, don't suppose there has been any movement on this? The only way we can achieve this is by creating the assessment within our LMS, this isn't as polished as an Articulate product and ties us to a platform. There needs to be a better way of creating this content and having it be fully reportable.

This post has a file that demonstrates how to provide partial credit on a multiple-response/pick-many question in Storyline: TIP: Give Partial Credit on Multiple Response Questions | Articulate - Community

Thanks Judy, I'll have a look and fingers crossed it'll be just what I've been looking for.
