Play button appears on mobile
Hi everyone,
I’m publishing an Articulate Storyline project to Web (not Review 360) and hosting the published output on my own server. The course is intended primarily for mobile devices.
The project contains no audio, no video, and no media of any kind. On desktop browsers, the course loads and starts immediately with no issues. However, when opening the published story.html on mobile browsers (tested on mobile), a circular Play button appears and requires a tap before the project begins.
To resolve this, I added a completely empty intro slide as the first slide in the course (no objects, no layers, no animations, no triggers), with a single full-screen hotspot that jumps to the actual content slide on user click. Even with this setup, the Play button still appears on mobile.
Is there any way to remove or hide this Play button so that the project loads immediately on mobile, without requiring the user to tap a Start/Play icon?
My goal is for the experience to begin automatically as soon as the page loads, with no explicit user interaction.
