Thanks for reaching out! If I understand correctly, your SCORM package ignores your custom player settings when uploaded to your LMS, and saving the project as a new file is the only way to display the correct settings.
- What publishing standard are you selecting? Storyline supports cmi5,xAPI, SCORM 2004, SCORM 1.2, and AICC.
- Do you experience the same player changes if you publish your course to Review 360?
To learn if this behavior is specific to your LMS, I recommend testing your file in SCORM Cloud. If you're still seeing the change in player settings in SCORM Cloud, we'd be happy to take a closer look at your project file in a support case.
