player.php SCORM error in Moodle (affected iOS 17 users)

Hi,

Has anyone else experienced users or students reporting a player.php error in Moodle (or other LMSs) when using iOS 17? We are seeing this issue specifically on iOS devices running version 17.0 onwards, where students encounter the error when launching SCORM content in Safari or Chrome. Notably, the issue does not appear to occur on iOS 18.

Any insights or similar experiences would be appreciated.
