Please Help!
Thank you for mentioning the Pause timeline trigger. I had forgotten to "allow seeking" in the slide layer properties. That allows the slide layers to play.
The pause time line is a one way that our agency tries to adhere to the 508 accessibility and usability legislation. If you do not pause the timeline, a screen reader (for anyone that uses one) and the timeline read over top of each other. This allows the screen reader user or other learner that needs this accommodation to control when the information begins on each slide.
Sounds good. The layers on the slides that were working do not have the Pause timeline trigger. That is why I was curious. Good luck
I would add that the pause timeline on every slide for every user seems to create an awkward user experience for most of your users. Have you considered using a true false variable to pause the timeline only for this using a reader?
I absolutely agree. It is a decision that we have struggles with. I am not familiar with how a true/false variable would would work for that. I am an NC licensed educator/curriculum specialist and self taught articulate user. I would be VERY interested in your thoughts. I would love for this to be a great learner experience that matches every learning style.

I have also ran into another related issue...
On the latest version, I have an activity that the learner clicks an object and the slide goes to a slide layer for more information. The original object has a series of state changes: Normal, Hover, and Visited. Each of those state changes has it's own alt text for a screen reader. So, what the action is doing is: the learner clicks the object, Articulate considers that object visited, and so, the screen reader reads the alt text for that state change. My question is...how can I get the state change to occur upon the completion of the slide layer and not as soon as the object is clicked? Please find the attached file with the slide that I am referencing.
