Poster frames don't work

Hi there, 

I'm currently working on a course in which I am inserting various videos. I'm trying to use the poster frames function to have a nice first frame of the video on the slide. I select the image for the poster frame and it is correctly shown in my slides and in the preview. Once I've downloaded the scorm package and preview this in my browser though, the poster frame is gone and I see the first frame of the video. Does anyone have experience with this or had the same problem? Where is the mistake?

    the posterframe for external video has to be set external - not in storyline

    e.g. Vimeo => set Thumbnail

    this can be changed on vimeo at any time - even after the course has been published

    I am not able to replicate your issue. Are these inserted videos?  or Videos from a website? You will not see the poster frame on the Videos from website.

    Is there a slide you can share with the issue?

    Hi Ron, 

    Thank you so much for your reply. I was embedding a video from Vimeo. Good to know poster frames never work with embedded videos. 
    It's a pity though because I would like to avoid having to upload my videos, so keep the size of the entire course small. Is there a work-around? 
    Please find attached screenshots: I was replacing the first frame as shown in the first screenshot, the second one shows the preview (with the picture being half cut off unintentionally) and the last one the actual course (showing the first frame of the video instead of the assigned picture).
