Problems with links, colors, text since update

I have all the hyperlink text style colors (normal, hover, visited, etc) all set to magenta. I have white text boxes with links. Sometimes, but not always, the hyperlink turns white after mouse over, which means it's invisible on a white background.
But this only happens on certain slides. It's working fine on one slide, so I copy that text box to a different slide, and there that exact same text box has the link turning white.
