Problems with links, colors, text since update
After two years, this problem was still not attended too, and I am wondering whether this was forgotten?
In the old RISE versions before the update in 2023, Rise just kept to its own formatting and did not copy formatting from word.
Now it just adds very long spaces between each line, makes wording bold, whereby this wording can not be made "unbold" - which makes copying from e.g. chinese, russian etc. impossible, since I would not be able to retype in Rise.
All this requires unnecessary extra work! Please take a look at this problem and have it fixed!
Thank you!
Hi IrisSchlabitz,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
Our team is still tracking an issue where texts copied from a Google document retain their original formatting instead of adapting to the text format of the Rise course. If you're copying and pasting text from a Word document, this behavior is expected. I've shared your feedback with our product team to ensure they're in the know with what customers are asking for. We'll keep you posted with any news!

Hi Kelly,
Thanks a lot for your response! I really appreciate your efforts. However, I do have a clarification to make. Prior to the 2023 update, copying from an MS Word document into Rise did not adapt the formatting from Word. Rise maintained its own formatting without any issues.
From my experience, the problem doesn't seem to be resolved when copying from a Google document and formatting is retained. The majority of institutional companies, including ours, predominantly use Microsoft documents e.g. Word. Therefore, it's crucial that we address the issue specifically with MS Word.
Looking forward to your insights and a possible solution.
