publish quality settings

I read that:

There are now two video quality options. Select Adaptive to automatically adjust the video quality (high, medium, or low) to the learner’s internet speed and prevent buffering. Learn more. Choose Static to deliver videos with the same quality to all learners, which could cause buffering. Drag the Static slider to change the video compression.

My version of Storyline 360 does not offer either Adaptive or Static options, just "Video quality" and a slide from smaller file to higher quality. Do I need to download an up-to-date version of Articulate? If so, how?

Thank you.

    Hi Greg,

Open the Articulate 360 Desktop app.

It will display all the Articulate 360 apps you have installed.

Click on the update button to right of Storyline 360.

Thanks Karl. Took me a minute to figure out how to display the Articulate
360 options page but I did and am now up to date and selecting Adaptive. I
guess now I have to go back to work.
      Cheers, Greg

  • Hi Greg,

Great question! I understand you would like to utilize the adaptive and static video options in Storyline 360. I'd be happy to work with you so you can use those settings!

Starting with the February 2023 update (Build 3.73.29831.0), Storyline supports streaming video which includes adaptive and static video settings. As Karl mentioned above, all you have to do is update your Articulate 360 & Storyline 360 software to be able to utilize that feature.

    Thanks for reaching out!
