Quiz will not display correctly - HELP please

I have a drag and drop quiz that appears fine on the slide and does work, but when I preview it as a slide or scene or publish it, it will not display correctly and I'm not sure what is wrong. I tried publishing just the one slide and I also created a new SL project and imported just that one slide and previewed it and published it as 'entire project' and it still will not display correctly. I have attached screen shots of what it looks like as a slide and what it displays like. I have also attached a SL file with just that slide. I actually have two slides that do this and they are both similarly laid out with similar content. I would be grateful for some help getting this to work correctly. THANK YOU!

  • Hi Sylvia,

    Thanks for reaching out!

It looks like your slide is encountering issues with spacing. As a troubleshooting step, try the following to see if they make a difference with the published output:

    • Increase the horizontal size (width) of the affected text box
    • Delete some words in the middle and then use the arrange function to distribute the spacing of the words equally using the Distribute Horizontally option.

Delete some of the words here:

      And realign using this option:

If you'd like some assistance in troubleshooting your project file, upload a copy of it here or in private by opening a support case so we can take a closer look at what's happening. We'll delete it afterwards!

Mega thanks Joe. I will give your suggestions a try, but I'm not certain what you mean by delete some words in the middle? Each of the text boxes on the top row is part of the quiz. But let me see what happens with your suggestions. THANK YOU!

        HI Sylvia,

If you're willing to upload a copy of your project file here in private by opening a support case, I'll be glad to make the necessary changes to your text boxes to help you troubleshoot. For your reference, I meant reducing the number of words in this text box:

    Hi Joe,

Thanks so much for following up. I actually figured out the issue. The hover states of each text box were overlapping and, as you know, even though they are not "visible" on the slide they ARE there and once I removed all of the hover states everything lined up and worked as they should. Phew!
