Recovering deleted blocks
Curious if there's a way to recover deleted block from Rise. Somehow several blocks disappeared from one of my courses and I'm hoping to recover them. Is there a version history that I ca access to track these down? Thanks!
Hello everyone, 🎉
I'm happy to let you know we released a new update for Rise 360! This update adds the following feature:
- Save and restore your work with a click via an easy-to-access version list that captures manual saves and export events.
There's nothing to install for web apps. New features and fixes are immediately available. Let me know if you have any questions about this update.

Any update on this?

I just had something similar happen to me. :-( I was working in a process block and wanted to delete one of the steps. I clicked the trashcan on that step and the whole thing disappeared.

A block of content just disappeared and I had definitely not deleted it and there was no edit button either.... What can be done?
Hi Rebecca,
I'm sorry, that sounds very frustrating. Unfortunately, once a block has been deleted the only way to recover it is by clicking on the Undo button which appears for a few seconds after the block has been deleted. After that time, there's no way to get it back. However, it sounds like some of your content just went missing.
Can you open a case with our support team here? Share your course URL, the lessons where the content went missing (if you can remember), and the last time you worked on them. We'll see if we can help restore your content.
In the meantime, if there's anything else I can do to help, please let me know!
Really sorry you lost your work, Nor. If we make improvements to project recovery in the future, we'll share the news with everyone here.

Please can you add me as another person wanting a way to undo content deletion. Absolutely crazy that it dissappears after a few seconds and is so discrete. Not too helpful given this seems to have been an issue for 2 years with no prioritization given to it.

Happend to me as well! Would be great to have an undo button or something like that! :)

Also adding myself to the group that would love more of a version history / undo. :)

Yes, please improve this functionality! Either a "longer" undo button or previous version feature.
Just a side note for those who are dealing with this - I have started publishing my Rise modules to Review 360 often. I still have to recreate a mistakenly deleted block in Rise, but I at least have the text/design from Review to go by since Review has the previous versions feature. Hope this helps!

Adding my vote to creating a better information recovery system.
Another solution that might prevent a number of these issues is to have a more protective system for deleting content. Requiring the deletion to be confirmed or even holding the delete button for a second or two before the content would prevent a number of accidental removals.

Alas, I too have lost hours worth of work. How can we get this prioritized to the top of the list?
Hi Shawn. We're exploring improving the visibility of the Undo option. I don't have any timeline or details yet, but we'll let you know if anything changes!
