Remove "http://" from url link
I am trying to use a button to add a link that does not begin with http:// but that is added automatically to either a button or a link within a text block. I am not sure exactly why this is needed (it is being used by a client on a proprietary LMS) but I need to know if it is possible. Thank you.

Hi team. Wondering if there are any updates on this issue. It seems to be around for a bit (but still occurring). Maybe a piece of code that could be rewritten?

I don't think it's possible to remove it.
Hi Katie,
The http:// will be added automatically when you go to insert a hyperlink. It sounds like adding that in breaks your URL/link? If you wanted to share what you were linking to, someone may have another idea for a way to make this work!

Was this issue resolved as I am having the same issue?
Hi there! Since this is an older discussion, let's start fresh. What web content are you linking to in your button block? Would you mind sharing the link you're using?

I agree. I think it's silly that we can't enter whatever url we want. We have use cases where we need to use a relative url so that the link opens to a course on the domain that content is being viewed on.

Same issue here on my side. We have internal link syntax that only works without the http:// prefix. Is there any way or workaround in the meantime that solves this problem?
