Storyline - Remove AI voice from My Voices

Hi,

I've hit the 10 voices limit and I can't remove any of them from My Voices. I don't see any button to remove them in My Voices or Voice Library.

And I am on free trial. Does it make some difference?

Thank you

  • Hello YaoyaoChen-6099  , in your first screenshot, notice the "Audrey" voice has a little trash can icon.  You can use that to remove the voice from your library.

Also, if you'd like an easy way to see all of your library voices at once, enable the filter and then select "Library" from the dropdown.

Hello, I have this same problem but none of the voices have the trashcan symbol next to them. The 'My Voices' section is prepopulated with exactly 52 voices and I cannot remove any of them or add any more from the library. I can only see three categories for filtering: gender, age and use case. I just uninstalled/reinstalled because before that I didn't have the button to access the Voice Library at all. How can I remove some of the 52 voices that are already in 'My Voices' so that I can use ones from the library instead?

        Hello JessicaHoskin,
        Thanks for reaching out!
The 52 voices shown in the "My Voices" window represent all of the voices you can use when generating your audio files.

Notice the "Added Voices" counter in the upper right-hand section of the window. Does yours show any added voices? If the counter shows 0, that means you haven't used any of the voices yet. You'll need to click on the "Use" button to add your selected voices to the Voice Library.
If the value is anything but 0, please share some screenshots of what you're seeing to help us understand what's happening.

  • Why does Storyline have a limit on voices where it looks like Rise doesn't? Can the built-in voices be removed or changed?

      Thanks for your question, Stephanie!

Storyline and Rise 360 manage AI voices a little differently. In Storyline 360, the limit applies to added voices in My Voices. The built-in voices are part of the default library and can't be removed or changed.

In Rise 360, voices are managed through Favorites instead of My Voices, so the experience looks a bit different.

Some users are noticing that the default voices consume all available slots. One user has 52 default voices in Storyline and cannot add a different voice in because of this. In my case I have 28 slots available and can add more in, but can't remove the defaults. What is the upper limit of voices allowed to be stored in My Voices? And, do these count toward an individuals own additions? Would there be an admin setup that would prevent someone from adding more voices or capping the number of voices allowed?
