Removing or Hiding the Previous/Next Buttons?
Hi There! I'm using Storyline to put together a (really cool) museum-style interaction that will play on a touch screen computer at a historical site! I'd like to essentially make the interaction play full screen at 1280X720, so I've gone in and set all of the player elements as transparent. Here's my question: I have gotten rid of everything but the previous and next buttons- how do I turn these off?
Thanks!
Hello Justin and welcome to E-Learning Heroes :)
Let's see if the following information assists:
Articulate Storyline lets you control several aspects of the browser and player for your published course, including:
- The size of the browser window
- Whether the course stays locked at the same size or lets learners scale it by adjusting the size of their browser windows
- Whether the course launches in a separate window and, if so, the properties of that window
See this tutorial for details.
If not, please feel free to share your .story file for us to take a look.

Thank you for the quick response.
I have:
Browser Size: Display at users current browser size
Player Size: Lock player at optimal size
Attached Story file
Thanks for sharing the details and your file for me to take a look at Justin.
What browser are you viewing the contents in? I published your course with and without a player and I'm not seeing this behavior in the published output as you can see in this Peek video recording.

Well, the screenshots I took were from the Storyline Preview window, not a browser. Since you mentioned it, it does look ok in my browser(s) though. Do you see the same thing as my screenshots if you preview from SL?
Oh, thanks for mentioning that Justin - you are correct. I do see some shifting in Preview between the two. I'll share this with the team.
It's me again...consensus is (I didn't want to share an assumption) that this would be expected as the preview window/contents must fit within the UI and is not a direct indication of what your published output will be, but more so the 'best fit' for that window.
Glad that your publishing looks good and the team likes your template by the way :) Good work.

Thank you for getting back to me Leslie. Good to know that it's just in Preview. I was just assuming that would carry over into the published version as well, which thankfully it does not :)
And thanks for the kudos on the template. As a consultant, I get the opportunity to create so many templates for different clients...and I love that Storyline allows me so much Creativity. Keep up the great work!

I have a new one on this:
I have a question with feedback, I have set all the prev/next buttons to hidden and put in the triggers suggested to keep them hidden.
In the feedback layer you can also click to open the menu in a lightbox layer - if you do this and rather than choosing to navigate to another slide you shut the menu - the prev/next buttons re-appear!
my only solution to fix so far is to disable the menu in the question feedback
Hey Lizzie - Do you have a .story file for us to take a peek at this behavior?

Hi,
Can I remove the prev and next buttons from slide player? Or can I do it from a single place without selecting all the slides?
