Return item to start point stops working after sound is turned on. Any idea what to do?

In drag and drop setup, the selected option: "Return item to start point when dropped outside" stops working after adding a sound signaling an incorrect match. Is there anything I can do about it?

* Sound triggered by trigger: "play audio when user drops..."

  • Why not place the sounds inside the correct and incorrect states, respectively? This way, you won't need any triggers and won’t have to worry about whether the dragged item has an associated trigger. Check the attached story file for reference.

    Thanks for reaching out!

    We are currently looking at improving this behavior in Storyline 360. Currently, the "return item to start point if dropped outside a correct drop target" option will not work if the drag item has an associated trigger. I've added this community thread to our feature request list and we'll let you know when we have any new updates to share!
