Right to left language In Rise
Hi
I am developing courses in Arabic Language. I just started using Articulate 360. I tried to add content using Rise. I could add Arabic text, but I faced many issues.
- Numbering and bullet list come left the text. As Arabic is a right-to-left language, it should be right.
- Text alignment also is left to right
- Navigation Bar is left
- No Arabic fonts available, I could only use the default one.
Could anyone help me solve the problem?
Regards
Sheikh Maawiya

Hi - this has been an active thread for literal years and right to left languages are an important element in training diversity. Surely there is roadmap somewhere that gives some form of indication as to when this function will be available? Or is it not going to happen?

Alas, this is a disappointing comment.

Agreed. This has been requested for years. Iām considering moving my team
onto a responsive web platform because web based content is at least up to
date with user needs.- TaliaZigelmanCommunity Member
We are also exploring this alternative.

Hi Alyssa,
This means that we have to wait several more years before right-to-left languages will be supported?! As I have written in many comments before, this feature is crucial for us. Currently Rise is not really usable with this limitation, except for some minor projects. It could be really great. Why are we even paying for a Articulate 360 subscription?
We even started tweaking the CSS files of the Rise modules manually, which gave us actually good results (still some issues on mobile devices), so I don't see the point why it is so difficult to implement.
That is disappointing.

Hi Alyssa
This feature is quite important to be able to satisfy translation requirements for our global clients. The CSS workaround is a partial solution but unfortunately is not effective on all block types and therefore is rather limiting.
Could you please provide some more clarity on what you mean by This feature is still on the table, but it's not on our immediate roadmap. I am interested to know what is on the road-map please, the What's New, Whats Next page only shows 3 Available Now items for Rise. It would also be really great to get some kind of indication when right-to-left functionality will be implemented please.

Hi Articulate Team,
Any update here? Could you please be more specific what "future update" means? We have to plan and allocate our resources, as it really depends on which tools we can use.
Thank you.

Hello,
As you can see this is 2020 and there's still no update about ETA.
I have to say Rise 360 is an amazing tool and has a tremendous potential.
Supporting RTL and font design for those languages would make Rise my main, if not only, product i would sell to my clients.
I was optimistic that this problem will be solved after a couple of months but after seeing this discussion I'm much more pessimistic.
It's a shame it is stuck on something that minor.
Would really appreciate an update about progress and ETA for this matter.
Thank,
Yuval

Hi there,
I would also like to add my vote for Articulate to further investigate this option, as RTL text is an increasingly important aspect of ensuring access for our learners. I truly hope that this is on the roadmap somewhere as our ideal is to purchase licenses for our organisation, but without RTL we cannot do that.

Well they stringed us along for quite some time. Dont think RTL support was ever even on the agenda. Guess i'll have to switch tools. This post is from like 3-4 years ago! wow

We are seriously considering that.
Their attitude towards this issue is completely ethno-centric. Such a large and international company should know better, and prioritize inclusiveness over other things.

Hi Articulate team, any update on right to left language support? It would really be useful for all of us who's creating courses in Arabic.

Hi, we also need Rise with rtl for our Arabic staff. Am hoping it can be added soon. Thanks.
