Can Google Analytics be integrated into Rise?

Hi Pete - sorry for the delay in responding. I have been swamped with year end analytical reports. I track interactivity within Storyline modules using Google Analytics events. I put simple javascript code on buttons, links, resources, anything I need to track. This is great for looking at usability of tools and modules and serious games. Instructional designers put a great deal of time and work into creating online learning and tools, but the only way to see how the users are actually interacting with them is to track the events, unless you are with them watching them every time they use the tool or module. I also use Google Data Studio to create dashboards that are always up to date with the analytics reports. This is also very useful for figuring out what to update based on usability results and activities. Most, but not all LMS's track quiz question results. Our old custom LMS did not. Therefore, I used Google event tracking for the quiz questions, so we could see how many were correct vs incorrect. If most are incorrect, we go back and look at the wording of the question and the content pertaining to those questions. You can send surveys asking your users about a module, game or tool, but IF they respond, it is only based on what they remember at the time. Tracking real time shows you so much more! Google event tracking can also show geography if you have a global audience, as well as what devices the content is accessed on. I could probably write forever on things you could track, measure and recommend based on the analytics!

You can add it to your exported course by inserting it in the page's head tags.

Can you add Google Analytics event tracking in Rise? In Storyline, I use event tracking for buttons to show us how the user is interacting with the module. Our LMS does not provide this type of information; therefore, I have gotten creative with Google Analytics and Javascript triggers in Storyline. I have a project that would be great to build and allows for easy reproduction for a series in Rise, but I need to have even tracking to see how our users are working with the content.

I've managed to find a very easy workaround for using Google Analytics, it's called YandexMetrica and it provides a lot more data than Google Analytics, including behavioural metrics and the ability to watch session replays. Thanks Crystal. For our current needs I think I'll just share the preview link without any metrics.

It would be nice as a future enhancement to be able to see just how many hits a rise item had though the link.

Is there a way to trigger a Google Analytics Virtual Page View from within Rise? I would like to track what sections a user visits.

The actual question is therefore: can I trigger any kind of custom javascript?

  Hi Chau! There isn't any analytical reporting in Rise 360 itself, but we're tracking requests for integration for third-party analytics. If we make any changes to this that help, we'll let you know!

Once you've added the code to your Rise course, where do you go to see the analytics? I can't see it in our Google Analytics site so either I am looking in the wrong place or did something wrong.

Has anyone been able to do tracking in Rise 360? I was able to use the code David showed years ago but I was only able to see when a user opened the course. I tried adding Google Tag Manager and that took away my ability to see when someone opened the course. I am not sure what I am doing wrong, but would love some help with ways to track clicks, time on lessons etc. in Rise.

I am digging out this topic.

We are looking to collect basic statistics with the Riso 360 solution exported in html to be hosted on our website with Google Analytics or At Internet : visits, visitor, view page and number of click on a "Download button" or "Start quizz" button.

Can anyone share a tutorial or give me some insight ?
