Scroll and Appear Interaction on Storyline?

Hi! My org wants to stay away from click-and-reveal interactions due to click fatigues reported by our learners. The only other way I can think of on Storyline that won't look like a ppt slide show is scroll-and-appear interactions, the ones that are frequently used on NYT website (both mobile and desktop versions).

Is it possible with current programming features on Storyline? I'm familiar with the scroll bar programming, but I'm not sure how to make things appear as learners scroll through.

Any ideas that stay away from click-and-reveal interactions would be appreciated! Drag and Drop is a no go because of accessibility.

You can certainly achieve something like this, a good example is Chris Hodgson's recent creation in the elearning heroes challenge #487. Check it out. He explains how it was made as well. If you have any questions I'd suggest reaching out to Chris, he is very helpful.

Looking to create engaging, scroll-and-appear interactions in Storyline without relying on click-and-reveal or drag-and-drop? While Storyline offers scroll bar features, you can achieve the scroll-and-appear effect by using triggers and layers. Set up triggers to show elements when the user scrolls to specific positions, creating a seamless, interactive experience similar to those seen on the NYT website. This method keeps learners engaged without the fatigue of clicks and ensures accessibility. It’s a great alternative to traditional interactions!

Rise is definitely an option for scroll and appear, but because of assessment and reporting purposes we need to stick to Storyline.
