Selected Buttons on a new layer
Hello, I am trying to figure out how to get a button that was originally selected on the base layer to show up still selected on another layer?

The base and all its layers are one slide, so they have access to a lot (but not all) of the objects and triggers on each other. The trigger you are looking for is “Change state of Button X to Hidden when timeline starts on this layer if state of ButtonX is not equal to selected”. You would use that on each layer if you put new buttons on each layer.
If you let the base buttons show through on each layer, then the trigger is “Change state of ButtonX to hidden when [user clicks or whatever action shows layer] if ButtonX is not equal Selected”.
