Simulation slides do not save

Hi,

I have been trying to create a try sim. I do the recording, save the slides in a new or current scene, they appear in my Storyline project, I save, but the moment I start editing them, they disappear entirely and I cannot find them if I go back or in the recordings folder. Today I tried working in a different file, but saved from the same template as before. Then also tested creating a different project from scratch. I am saving my projects in a folder in my Documents in my PC.
During the last couple of tries the sim slides didn't even appear anymore, only one showed but it didn't get saved either. 

Any ideas what might be causing this?
